Edinburg, TX - With hurricane season fast approaching, residents across the Rio Grande Valley will have a chance to get ahead of the storm.

The City of Edinburg, in partnership with the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Hidalgo County, and the cities of McAllen, Mission, and Pharr, will host a Joint Regional Hurricane Preparedness Press Conference on Tuesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at Edinburg City Hall.

This coordinated, multi-city effort will give residents a clear look at each community’s emergency response plans, lessons learned from past storms, and the resources available before, during, and after a hurricane.

The briefing will be streamed live on Facebook and broadcast on Spectrum Channel 1300, making it easy for the public to stay informed from anywhere.
