Edinburg, Texas — The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library is excited to announce an open invitation to residents Edinburg and surrounding cities to participate in the celebration of "Día de los Niño's, Día de los Libro's" (Children's Day/Book Day) on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This festive event will be held at the library located at 1906 South Closner Blvd.

Attendees will be treated to a family-friendly evening brimming with various activities, games, and captivating performances. Esteemed community organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Edinburg, the Edinburg Fire Department, the Museum of South Texas History, the International Museum of Art & Science, the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center, Capable Kids Foundation, Red Rover Readers RGV, and more will be hosting engaging booths aimed at entertaining attendees of all ages.

Additionally, the South Texas Literacy Coalition will generously provide complimentary books for attendees, subject to availability, to add an extra touch of literary magic to this memorable occasion.

Through this heartwarming celebration, the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library aims to cultivate a sense of unity within the community and pay homage to the joys of childhood and the significance of reading.
