Edinburg, TX -
In a continued effort to provide Rio Grande Valley residents with new job opportunities, the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), in collaboration with Workforce Solutions, will host a Law Enforcement Job Fair on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

With over 30 potential employers expected to participate, the job fair encourages those with an interest in a career in law enforcement to join staff at the Edinburg Activity Center, located at 123 Mark S. Pena Drive.

“Our partners at Workforce Solutions have always done a tremendous job promoting available employment opportunities, and this is another exciting event that we are thrilled to be a part of,” EEDC Executive Director Raudel Garza says. “The job fair gives attendees the chance to build their lives and careers in our city and the surrounding communities.”

Attendees will be able to learn more about the positions available across a variety of organizations, including the Edinburg Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Border Patrol, and other local law enforcement agencies. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and marks the first law enforcement-centered job fair hosted in the City of Edinburg.

“This joint effort with the Edinburg EDC highlights our commitment to supporting career pathways and public safety. Together, we're fostering a stronger, safer future for the Rio Grande Valley,” says Frank Almaraz, CEO of Workforce Solutions.

Job seekers will also be able to utilize a “Cyber Café” at the event to receive helpful resume tips and make copies for participating employers. Employers interested in joining the event are asked to contact Robert Mora with Workforce Solutions at (956) 467-9814 for more information.
