Edinburg to host Edinburg Municipal Park turf enhancement ribbon cutting

Edinburg, TX - Batter up! The City of Edinburg will be upgrading its Municipal Park field turf just in time for the sports season. This enhancement was made possible through a $338,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Block Grant Program and a $41,000 grant from the Park Land Dedication Fund.
Field number two will now have an all-weather turf, adjustable bases, and a drainage system, making it a safe, even, and multi-use field for future athletic programs. The City of Edinburg cordially invites the public to the ribbon-cutting celebration happening Monday, August 14, at 6:15 p.m. at Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 S. Longoria Rd.
This is part of an overall turf enhancement that will also include an irrigation system upgrade for field number two in the near future.
