Human Resources Volunteer Opportunities
Who Volunteers?
People volunteer for many different reasons. They may wish to become actively involved in giving back to the community, build lasting relationships, developing new skills, perform school community service hours, making great use of their time and talents, or just because it makes you feel good about yourself. Whatever the reason, volunteers do make a difference.
Volunteers at the City of Edinburg range in age from 16 years old to 90 plus. They are students, retirees, those with special skills who have extra time, and individuals who are fully employed.
The City of Edinburg’s volunteers are comprised of adult men and women who donate not only their time in departments throughout the City but help make Edinburg a better community. We are also fortunate to have Young Adult Volunteers comprised of young men and women (16 years minimum), many from local high schools, South Texas College and The University of Texas Pan-American, who volunteer for educational goals and work experience. The City appreciates the opportunity to develop such experiences.
