Fire Hydrant Meter

The tap fee for the fire hydrant meter is $30 with a $20 deposit, for a total of $50.

Sewer Tap Fees

The City of Edinburg does not perform sewer tap fees; however, a sewer tap permit must be obtained by a licensed plumber at the Code Enforcement Division. The permit and inspection fee is $20 inside city limits and $40 outside city limits.

Payment Information

The City of Edinburg charges a 5% penalty on all accounts that are not paid by the due date. After two months of non-payment, the accounts are disconnected and there is a late fee of $10.00. Accounts that are connected after hours have a fee of $15.00. Unauthorized connections are charged with a $15.00 fee.

The City of Edinburg Water Plant is open 24 Hours/day and 365 days of the year. On Weekends, holidays, and or "after hours" the Water Plant can be contacted at 956-383-5660 for any utility emergency.
