The Recycling Center was established in conjunction with the volume-based charges. This gave the businesses and citizens a viable means of reducing their waste and contributing to the environment by reducing illegal dumping. The
Center accepts Continued public awareness and the development of partnerships with other city departments and civic organizations will increase the Center's use in order to promote volume reduction and environmental protection programs.

Our
Recycling Coordinator, along with "Roxie" Recyclesaurus Rex, promote
the Center's use through an outreach program recruiting citizens
to take an active part in environmental projects. Education is provided
through tours and presentations. The structure and grounds are maintained
in order to exemplify environmental protection.
