Streets Division The Streets Division, staffed by 28 employees, undertakes road maintenance and construction, in accordance with the City's Five-Year Capital Improvements Program, including chip seals, overlays, reconstruction/reclaiming and paving for all streets and alleys within the corporate city limits. All storm drainage systems and appurtenances maintenance is provided or overseen by this division. In addition, this division maintains all city-owned traffic control signals and devices, pavement markings, striping and signs. Fifty (50%) percent of Streets efforts are directed to streets and alleys maintenance including street repairs, cut repairs and pot hole patching. |

| Street Sweeping Schedule | |
| The Downtown area and major thoroughfares are swept on a weekly basis. Subdivisions and/or other streets are swept upon request, subject to workload. Requests for services may be placed by calling Streets Division at 956-383-5635 or Public Works Administration at 956-292-2088. | |
