City Attorney

The City Attorney’s Office provides the City of Edinburg with legal advice and representa-tion. The City Attorney offers legal advice and services to the City Council, City Officials, Advisory Boards, Commissions, Staff and Departments to protect the interests of the City and taxpayers. Further, the City Attorney prepares and assists with the review of ordinances, resolutions, contracts, labor and employment matters, Civil Service matters, Code Enforcement, Zoning, real estate, tax suits, financial matters, and open records requests. The City Attorney also represents the City in any civil litigation matters and is responsible for the criminal prosecution of all misdemeanor and infraction offenses occurring within the jurisdictional limits of the City.
